Kristin Fisher was added to the CNN Space and Defense Correspondent team on July 20, 2021. She covers all aspects of space, from NASA, the Space Force and commercial space companies, to the emergence of space tourism. Kristin's parents are each NASA astronauts. Kristin spent her childhood in space, and she has since been a White House reporter for FOX News reporting on the both the Biden and Trump administrations regarding space-related issues. In that time she covered the 2020 presidential campaign, two impeachment trial as well as two initiatives to end the corona virus pandemic, as well as two different administrations' initiatives. The extensive trips she took with the Vice President and the President included an exclusive trip to Afghanistan and Afghanistan, which she travelled on with Donald Trump. Prior to becoming a part of the company in, Kristin spent nearly a decade working her way up in local TV news stations in Grand Junction, Colorado; Little Rock, Arkansas; and Washington, D.C. where she won the Emmy Award as a one-man-band reporter for the Washington, D.C.'s CBS affiliate. Kristin, who is a skilled filmmaker, founded Field Mouse Films, a firm that is specialized in documentary-style films for clients such as Uber and Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin graduated with a Bachelors in Science in Journalism from Boston University. Kristin lives with husband, daughter, and their three-year-old son in Washington, D.C.
